I was craving for something sweet but still healthy so I opted to make Sweet Potato Fries instead of just boiling or steaming two pieces of large-size camote. That’s what we call it in Tagalog. Don’t underestimate this root crop because it is full of nutrients that is good for your health. Sweet potato, not only is just sweet to your taste buds but also good for your cardiovascular health. This starchy root vegetable is rich source of flavonoid anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber that are essential for optimal health, according to studies. It also provides a good amount of vital minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, and potassium that are very essential for enzyme, protein, and carbohydrate metabolism.
