After all these years, I finally learned the name of these lovely blooms. Mr. Wiki says “Duranta erecta is a species of the flowering shrub in the verbena family Verbenaceae, native from Mexico to South America and the Caribbean. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant” in tropical gardens throughout the world. It is commonly known as golden dewdrop, pigeon berry, and skyflower. I have a Golden Duranta in my garden, trim it religiously into a rounded shape but I have never seen it bloom. I am sure it belongs to the same family.
